first subtract 2c to both sides of the equation and you should get: k-2c=-9d/8
Then multiply both sides by 8 and you should get 8k-16c=-9d
Then divide both sides by -9 which will flip the signs of the whole equation leaving it as:
(16c-8k)/9=d
