equation is in slope intercept form of y = mx + b
m is the slope and b is the y intercept
that makes the slope in your equation equal to -8 and the y intercept in your equation equal to 4.

you can see that the y intercept is 4.
this is the value of y when x = 0.
to determine whether the slope is accurate, look at the graph when x = 0 and when
