Hi,
Using the point-slope formula, m+=%28y%5B2%5D+-+y%5B1%5D%29%2F%28x%5B2%5D+-+x%5B1%5D%29
(-7, 0) and
(4, 2) m = -2/-11 = 2/11
Using the standard slope-intercept form for an equation of a line y = mx + b where m is the slope and b the y-intercept.
y = (2/11)x + b |Using ordered pair (4,2) to solve for b
2 = (2/11)*4 + b
14/11 = b
9/6 = 3/2 = b
y = (2/11)x + 14/11
