the parallelogram is defined by 4 straight lines, whose equations can be derived from any 2 sets of (x,y) coordinates.

This question is therefore just doing this 4 times, to find the 4 lines. As to how to do this - see the set of Lessons i have written on this site. They explain and give you examples.

The final step is to convert the = to either < or >, where needed.
