| Question 431951: I would like to know did I do this correctly. email address is sowellsamantha@yahoo.com
 Ax + BY = C
 3y = -9X -12
 -3         -3
 -3y = -9x -12
 -3   -3   -3
 In slope intercept form y = 3x + 4
 Slope is (m) which equalizes m =  3
 My next question is
 Assign coordinates for any two points: A( ..., ...) B( ..., ...).
 Calculate slope of line passing through these points.
 Find equation of this line in a form: y = mx + b

You can put this solution on YOUR website! I would like to know did I do this correctly. email address is sowellsamantha@yahoo.com Ax + BY = C
 3y = -9X -12
 -3         -3
 -3y = -9x -12
 -3   -3   -3
 In slope intercept form y = 3x + 4  **** It's y = -3x - 4, just divide by 3
 ---------------------------------------
 m = -3
 =====================
 Slope is (m) which equalizes m =  3
 My next question is
 Assign coordinates for any two points: A( ..., ...) B( ..., ...).
 Calculate slope of line passing through these points.
 Find equation of this line in a form: y = mx + b
 I'll send an example later, I have an email problem of some sort.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hi
 3y = -9x-12 OR y = -3x-4   |m = -3
 |Using the point-slope formula,
  (5,6)
 (2,3)  m = 3/3 = 1
 y = mx + b
 y = x+ b
 6=  5 + b   |using Pt(5,6) to find b
 1 = b
 y = x+1
