Using the point-slope formula, m+=%28y%5B2%5D+-+y%5B1%5D%29%2F%28x%5B2%5D+-+x%5B1%5D%29

( 4,2) 

(-3,5)  m = -3/7

 



y = (-3/7)x + b   |using ordered pair Pt(4,2) to solve for b

2 = -12/7 + b

26/7 = b

y = (-3/7)x + 26/7
