Multiply for 4, get rid of those annoying fractions, results:
2x + 3y = 4(6)
2x + 3y = 24
Subtract 2x from both sides
3y = -2x + 24
Divide both sides by 3
y = -2%2F3x + 24%2F3
y = -2%2F3x + 8
