You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1) 2x+3y=6
-2x -2x = 3y=2x+6
2) 3y=2x+6
/3 /3 =
y=(2/3)x+2 (this is it in y=mx+b form)

to graph it you start at 2 on the y axis as one point and then go up 2 and to the right 3 and that is your second point then you make a line through it and there you go! graph%28y=%282%2F3%29x%2B2%29

to put the equation 2x%2B3y=6 into y=mx%2Bb form you need to leave y on the left side and everything else on the other side of the equal sign:
2x%2B3y=6.....to both sides add -2x
2x+-+2x+%2B3y=6+-2x
cross%282x%29+-+cross%282x%29+%2B3y+=+6+-2x
3y+=+-2x+%2B+6......both sides divide by 3
3y%2F3+=+-2x%2F3+%2B+6%2F3
y+=+-%282%2F3%29x+%2B+2

now graph it:

Solved by pluggable solver: PLOT a graph of a function
Plotting a graph:

This solver uses formula rendering system and here's the actual formula that was plotted:

graph( 600, 400, -15, 15, -10, 10, -(2/3)x+2 )

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3y=-2x+6
divide entire equation by 3
y=-2/3x+2
plug in points
(-3,4),(0,2),(3,0)
plot those points and draw a straight line. this link will show you what it should look like. this is a great site to use. copy and paste the link into your browser and you can see it.
hope this helps.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3y = 6 - 2x

y = 2 - (2/3)x = -(2/3)x + 2
