You can put this solution on YOUR website! line 1 contains (-3, 5) and (2, 0). Line 2 contains (1, -3) and (-1,3). are the lines parallel, perpendicular, or neither?
...
line 1 contains (-3, 5) and (2, 0).
find the slope (y2-y1/x2-x1)
slope =m = (0-5)/(2-(-3)
slope =m =-5/+5 = -1
Line 2 contains (1, -3) and (-1,3). are the lines parallel, perpendicular, or neither?
Similarly slope = 3-(-3)/-1-1
slope m = 6/-2
m=-3
..
they don't have same slope, nor the product of their slopes = -1
so they are neither parallel nor perpendicular.
...
If you draw a graph you will see that they intersect at (-1,3)
