Hi,         

Using the standard slope-intercept form for an equation of a line y = mx + b 

 where m is the slope and b the y-intercept. 

 y = 5x-6  y-intercept is Pt(0,-6)

One could have found the   y-intercept directly, 

knowing the line intersects the y-axis when x= 0
