det%28matrix%283%2C3%2C-6%2C5.25%2C1%2C1%2C3%2C1%2C2.5%2C3.25%2C1%29+%29=+5.125. Since this determinant is not 0, the three points are NOT collinear, or do not lie on the same line. (Incidentally half the absolute value of the determinant gives the area of the triangle formed.)
