You can put this solution on YOUR website! A line is an infinite collection of points. A linear equation in two variables is an expression which describes an infinite number of points (x, y) that satisfy that equation. If one were to plot all of those points on a two-dimensional rectangular plane, one would see that they all lay out in a straight line.
