You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(1) graph the equation using the x- and y- intercepts: y= -2x-2
Let x = 0, then y = -2: Plot the point (0,-2)
Let y = 0, then x = -1: Plot the point (-1,0)
Draw a line thru the two points:

(2) find the slope of the line that passes through the pair of points:
(7,-5),(-1,8)
slope = (8--5)/(-1-7) = 13/-8 = -13/8
-------------------------------------------
and
(-3,5),(-4,5)
slope = (5-5)/(-4--3) = 0/-1 = 0
