y=x-4
Substitute y in the following equation:
4x+y=26
=> 4x + (x-4) = 26
=> 5x = 30
=> x = 6
y = x-4 => y = 2;
Answer: (x,y) = (6,2)

Its simple just substitute the value if y in the second equation
y=x-4
4x+y=26
4x+y = 26
4x+(x-4) = 26
4x + x -4 = 26
3x = 26+4 = 30
x = 30/3 =10
y = x -4
y = 10 -4 = 6
x = 10; y = 6
