You can put this solution on YOUR website!
                             3x - 8y + 24 =   0

Add -3x to both sides-->    -3x             -3x
-------------------------------------------------
                                 -8y + 24 = -3x

Add -24 to both sides                 -24 =     - 24
----------------------------------------------------
                                 -8y      = -3x - 24

Divide both sides by -8 -->         %28-8y%29%2F%28-8%29 = %28-3x-24%29%2F%28-8%29

Cancel the -8's on the left       %28cross%28-8%29y%29%2F%28cross%28-8%29%29 = %28-3x-24%29%2F%28-8%29

                                       y = %28-3x-24%29%2F%28-8%29

Factor -3 out of the top:              y = %28-3%28x%2B8%29%29%2F%28-8%29

Cancel the negative signs:             y = %28%22%22%2B3%28x%2B8%29%29%2F%28%22%22%2B8%29

                                       y = %283%28x%2B8%29%29%2F8
