| Question 308704: 7(10x - 15) > 5(14x - 10)
 Answer by rapaljer(4671)
      (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 7(10x-15)>5(14x-10) 70x-105>70x-50

 Subtrac 70x from each side:
 -105 > -50

Since all the variable subtracted out, there is nothing left but numbers. The inequality is either TRUE (always true!), or it is FALSE (always false!).

In this case, the inequality -105>-50 is FALSE, so there is NO SOLUTION. This is called a CONTRDICTION.
