You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve for x:
%284x-6%29%2F2=-3x%2B2
Fist we have to get rid of the fraction by multiplying both sides by 2. When you multiply %284x-6%29%2F2 by 2 the 2’s cancel, leaving you with 4x-6. What you do to one side you have to do to the other. When you multiply -3x%2B2 by 2 you get -6x%2B4. Now you have 4x-6=-6x%2B4. Add 6x to both sides to get 10x-6=4. Now add 6 to both sides to get 10x=10. Now we have to get x by itself by dividing both sides by 10 to solve for x. 10 divided by 10 is 1. x=1.
Now we have to check our answer by plugging in 1 for x into the original equation %284x-6%29%2F2=-3x%2B2. %284%281%29-6%29%2F2=-3%281%29%2B2 = %284-6%29%2F2=-3%2B2 = -2%2F2=-1 = -1=-1. The answer is correct, x=1.

+%284x+-6%29+%2F+2+=+-3x+%2B+2+
.
+2x+-3+=+-3x+%2B+2+
.
Add 3x to both sides...
+2x+%2B+3x+-+3+=+-3x+%2B+3x+%2B+2+
+5x+-3+=+2+
.
Add 3 to both sides
+5x+-3+%2B3+=+2+%2B+3+
+5x+=+5+
