b) Convert $1750 Australian money into US money

I went to several sites and they all seem to have different rates, but they all hover around the rates quoted from this site give or take a few percentage points.
This one might be a pure exchange rate without any trading commissions added on to the value.
I can't confirm or deny that without extensive investigation that I don't plan to do.
Bottom line is the question you are asking doesn't lend itself easily to one answer that you can bank on.
If you actually want to trade, you have to go to an institution and find out the rate you can get from them at the time you want to trade.
Different places have different rates so you have to shop around for the best rate.
If you're just looking for a rough estimate, this will probably be as good as any.
$225 US Dollars are equivalent to approximately $249 Australian Dollars based on the present rate.
$1750 Australian Dollars are equivalent to approximately $1580 American Dollars base on the present rate.
