here are the equations
(i) 7x%2B4y=5
(ii) x-6y=-19
step 1 - multiply (i) by 3 and multiply (ii) by 2 to get
(iii) 21x+%2B+12y+=+15
(iv) 2x+-+12y+=+-38
step 2 - add down to get
(v) 23x+=+-23
so, x = -1
then y = 3
