Question 247962: I have a problem that I do not understand how to do
Solve the system of equations by graphing, then classify the system
6x+y=7
7x+8y=-26
Can someone help me out I also need to see a graph so I can see what I'm doing wrong. Thank you so much

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Solve the system of equations by graphing, then classify the system
6x+y=7
7x+8y=-26

They're 2 linear equations, so their graphs are straight lines.
2 points is sufficient to plot a line.
6x+y=7
y = 7-6x
Pick 2 values for x and find y
x...y
0...7 --> (0,7)
1...1 --> (1,1)
Plot those 2 points and draw a line thru them.

Do the same for the other eqn. Where they intersect is the solution.
