Question 243943: I am having trouble with solving this. I am continuing my education adn the age of 40 and it has been years since i have done anything like this.

Since it's 2 variables and 1 equation, you can only solve for each variable in terms of the other.
It's "solved for x" as it is.
y = x-4 is "solved for y"

It's a linear equation so the graph is a straight line. 2 points is sufficient to graph it. Pick values for x or y and find the other.
For example:
x = 0, y = -4 --> (0,-4)
y = 0, x = +4 --> (4,0)
Plot the 2 points and draw a line thru them.
