You can put this solution on YOUR website! Do you know how to find the L.C.M or the Least Common Multiple? Once you do that, then the problem becomes easy.
The L.C.M of 3 and 4 is 12
4 goes into 12 3 times
so we write 3xa = 3a
Similarly 3 goes into 12 4 times
and we write 4xb = 4b
Cross multiplying
3a+4b = 12x2 = 24
3a+4b = 24
