Question 240077: How do you write an equation in standard form for the line whose slope is undefined that passes through (5, -3)?
Thank you.
Answer by College Student(505) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Undefined slopes are vertical lines in the cartesian plane.
With vertical lines, we only have one value for x, but we have all values for y.
So, your equation in this case should be x=5
Naturally, this line will cross point (5,-3), as well as all other points of y.
