You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the slope if it exists

x%2B9y=18
m=?

Step 1. Need to isolate y and put it to get the slope-intercept form. That is, y=mx%2Bb where m is the slope and b is the y-intecept.

Step 2. Subtract x from both sides of equation to isolate 9y

x%2B9y=18

x%2B9y-x=18-x

9y=18-x

Step 3. Divide by 9 to both sides of equation to get y

9y%2F9=%2818-x%29%2F9

y=18%2F9-x%2F9

y=2-x%2F9

Step 4. Put above equation now in slope-intercept form y=mx+b

y=-1x%2F9%2B2=-x%2F9%2B2

Step 5. The slope m=-1%2F9 and the y-intecept b=2

I hope the above steps were useful.
