The sides of a rectangle are in the ratio 3:2. What is the length of each side if the perimeter of the rectangle is 55cm.

Let the sides be 3x and 2x.
------------------
Perimeter = 2(L + W)
55 = 2(3x + 2x)
55 = 2(5x)
x = 11/2
---
side = 3x = 33/2 = 16.5 cm
side = 2x = 22/2 = 11 cm
