General Form - Ax+By+C=0
Point (0,-2) Slope m=3 When I put this in general form from slope intercept form I got the right answer:
y=3x-2
minus y on each side
3x-y-2
However on the next one Point (2,-3) Slope m=-(1/2) I did the same thing and it was wrong please help.
y=-(1/2)x-2
-(1/2)x-y-2=0
I got the exact opposite of the right answer.
Why do you sometimes move everything over to the y as in the second problem but others times move it all over on the other side as in the first problem!?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
in the general form ___ A, B, and C are capitalized because they are whole numbers

you may have to multiply by a constant to "get rid of" fractions

also, by convention, A is always positive __ you may have to multiply through by -1 to accomplish this
