Question 192756This question is from textbook
: Plot the graphs of the equations 2x - 3y = 5 and 4x - 6y = 21 and interpret the results. Thank You! This question is from textbook
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 2x-3y=5--->-3y=-2x+5--->y=(2/3)x-5/3
4x-6y=21-->-6y=-4x+21-->y=(2/3)x-21/6
:
you will find that these are parallel lines (slopes are equal) and different y intercepts......so NO solution
:
to plot just choose values for x and solve for y . For instance in
:
y=2/3)x-5/3 if x=0 the y =(2/3)(0)-5/3 =-5/3
:
just keep doing this until you have the amount of points you want in order to draw the line....only 2 points are needed but a 3rd helps to make sure you havent made a mistake
