You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Given Line Eqn: 2x - 3y = -5

Via Slope-Intercept Form,system%28y=mx%2Bb%29
2x%2B5=3y ----> %282x%2B5%29%2F3=cross%283%29y%2Fcross%283%29
y=highlight%28%282%2F3%29%29x%2B5%2F3, where Slope=m=2%2F3

We're looking for the line perpendicular to this, and it's slope is the reverse reciprocal m%5B2%5D=-1%2Fm=-1%2F%282%2F3%29=red%28-3%2F2%29

So thru point (3,-2), via Slope-Intercept form:

-2=%28-3%2F2%29%283%29%2Bb
-2=-9%2F2%2Bb
b=-2%2B9%2F2=%28-4%2B9%29%2F2=5%2F2, Y-Intercept (0,5/2) or (0,2.5)

It follows ---> red%28y=%28-3%2F2%29x%2B5%2F2%29,---> %283%2F2%29x%2By=5%2F2 ---> red%283x%2B2y=5%29,Answer (Std. Form)

We'll see the graph,
---> red%28RED=2x-3y=-5%29; green%28GREEN=3x%2B2y=5%29

Thank you,
