You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Finding the Slope=m thru points (1,5) and (3,6) wheresystem%28x%5B1%5D=1%2Cx%5B2%5D=3%2Cy%5B1%5D=5%2Cy%5B2%5D=6%29

Point Slope Form:
m=%28y%5B2%5D-y%5B1%5D%29%2F%28x%5B2%5D-x%5B1%5D%29=%286-5%29%2F%283-1%29=red%281%2F2%29

It follows via Slope-Intercept Form, y=mx%2Bb on point (1,5):

5=%281%2F2%29%281%29%2Bb
5=%281%2F2%29%2Bb ----> b=5-%281%2F2%29=%2810-1%29%2F2=9%2F2, y-Intercept

Try point (3,6): (should be the same)
6=%281%2F2%29%283%29%2Bb
b=6-%283%2F2%29=%2812-3%29%2F2=9%2F2, y-Intercept

It follows our eqn ---> y=(1/2)x + (9/2)

Find x-Intercept by letting Fy=0:
0=%281%2F2%29x%2B9%2F2
%281%2F2%29x=-9%2F2 ---->
red%28x=-9%29, x-Intercept

Let's see the graph,

Thank you,
