Question 188085: Find an equation of the line containing the given pair of points
(3,2) and (9,5)
Y=

You can put this solution on YOUR website! (3,2) and (9,5)
Y=mX+b
Slope=(y2-y10/(x2-x1)
Slope=(5-2)/(9-3)
Slope=3/6=.5 ans.
2=3*.5+b
2=1.5+b
2-1.5=b
.5=b the Y intercept.
y=.5x+.5

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Given points: (3,2) & (9,5)
We first find the Slope via Slope-Intercept Form,
Substituting,
Then thru point (3,2) via Slope-Intercept Form, y=mx+b:
--->
Y-Intercept
Also, thru (9,5): (should be the same)
--->

The Line Eqn ==> y=(1/2)x+(1/2), Answer
We see graph,

Thank you,
