Question 178788: in these two equations,
f(x) + 9.0 - x
h(x) + -14 + 70
how do i identify the slope, m, and the vertical intercept, b?
Answer by Lj(2) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The slope, m, is always the number paired with "x" or the variable.
The vertical intercept or y-intercept, b, is the number NOT paired with the variable.
I'm not sure the second equation is in the proper slope-intercept form, but the slope for the first equation is one and the vertical intercept is 9.0.
