Question 176571: 1. Is there a difference between solving a system of equations by the algebraic method and the graphical method? why? Support by examples.
2.Why is true that at x-intercept, the value of y is 0, and at y-intercept, the value of x is 0?
3. By looking at two linear equations, how can you tell that the corresponding lines are parallel?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1. Is there a difference between solving a system of equations by the algebraic method and the graphical method? why? Support by examples.
Same solution if you are accurae enough with the graph.
---------------------------------------------------------------
2.Why is true that at x-intercept, the value of y is 0, and at y-intercept, the value of x is 0?
The x-intercept is where the graph crosses the x-axis. the equation of the
x-axis is y=0.
the y-intercept is where the graph crosses the y-axis. the equation of the
y-axis is x=0
-------------------------------
3. By looking at two linear equations, how can you tell that the corresponding lines are parallel?
The slopes will be the same and the y-intercepts will be different.
