The general equation of a line is y=mx+b
We already that m=-4 so let's plug that in
y=-4x+b
We need to find the value of b to make the equation correct.
Replace the variable x and y with the point value.
1=-4(1)+b
1=-4+b
Add 4 to both sides
5=b

Thus the equation is y=-4x+5

Let's doublecheck
1=-4+5

1=1
