Question 162767: Hi, I don't have a specific problem. I came across this website and was hoping you could help me. I'm currently in Afghanistan and can't run to the nearest Borders and by a Liner Equations for Dummbies book, so I was hoping you could maybe point me in the direction of a really good website that could "Crayola" style break it all down for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks,
Viki

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A good web site is:
www.purplemath.com
.
From their home page, you can search for "linear equation".
.
Good luck in math and in Afghanistan.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
here's one.
http://www.nipissingu.ca/calculus/tutorials/linear.html
here's another.
http://www.analyzemath.com/Equations/linear_Eq_Tutorial.html
here's another.
http://www.purplemath.com/modules/systlin1.htm
you go to yahoo and do a search on "linear equation tutorials" and all sorts of places pop up.
or just plain "linear equations"
you can do the same with "matrix algebra" or anything else you want to study.
hofstra has a pretty good one.
here it is.
all their little clickit things don't always work but sometime they do and you can check your answers when that happens.

here's another i found searching on "systems of linear equations"
http://www.wtamu.edu/academic/anns/mps/math/mathlab/int_algebra/int_alg_tut19_systwo.htm
this one might be the home of the one above. lots of stuff in here.
http://www.wtamu.edu/academic/anns/mps/math/mathlab/col_algebra/
the possibilities are endless.
you go to yahoo and do a search on linear equations or matrix algebra or college algebra or linear equations tutorials or linear equations review or matrix algebra review or matrix algebra tutorial, etc., and all sorts of possible sites will pop up.
check each one out that looks interesting and keep the good ones.
this one might be the home of one of the ones above. lots of stuff in here.
