: Describe how you could use a graph or table to solve the equation
5x+10=-20
Suppose you use a different letter or symbol to represent the value of the unknown variable. For example, 5n+10=6n instead of 5x+10=6x
Does this make a difference in solving the equation? Explain.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5x%2B10=-20
First we solve for x:
5x=-20-10
5x=-30
cross%285%29x%2Fcross%285%29=cross%28-30%296%2Fcross%285%29
x=-6
graph%28100%2C100%2C-10%2C10%2C-10%2C10%2Cx=-6%29 ----> changing the variable does not make any difference on how you solve it.The variable is just a reference, you can make any reference or letters you want to represent it.
Thank you,
