You can put this solution on YOUR website!
to get the line to pass through a point, solve the formula and see where the y value lies.
add or substract a constant value to get you to where you want to be.
example:
formula is y = 5x because you want the slope to be 5.
you want to pass through (4,3)
solving the formula for x = 4, you get y = 5x = 20.
now you want to be at 3, not 20, so you need to subtract 17.
formula now becomes y = 5x - 17.
now when x = 4, y = 20 - 17 = 3 which is where you want it to be.
