Graph a line with 1/3 passing through the point (-2,-4)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I assume you mean a slope of 1/3.
First plot your point (-2,-4).

The slope is change in y over change in x.
You line will increase 1 y increment for each 3 x increments.
Starting at (-2,-4), another point would be
x:-2+3=1
y:-4+1=-3
(1,-3)
Plot that one.

You could keep going but for a straight line you only need two points.
Draw the line between those two points.

You can also find the equation of the line using the point-slope form.
y-y%5B1%5D=m%28x-x%5B1%5D%29
y-%28-4%29=%281%2F3%29%28x-%28-2%29%29
y%2B4=%281%2F3%29%28x%2B2%29
y=%281%2F3%29x%2B2%2F3-12%2F3
y=%281%2F3%29x-10%2F3
