Find the slope:
3x = 4y+1
Get your equation into the slope-intercept form: y = mx+b where m = the slope and b = the y-intercept.
3x = 4y+1 Subtract 1 from both sides of the equation.
3x-1 = 4y Now divide both sides by 4.
(3/4)x-1/4 = y or
y = (3/4)x-1/4 Compare this with:
y = mx+b and you can see that the slope, m+=3%2F4
