You'll notice that your equation is in slope-intercept form: y=mx+b. Remember that m is your slope and b is your y-intercept. So the graph of this equation will go through the y axis at 2 and have a slope of -3/4. A line with a negative slope slants downwards. So your graph will look something like this:
If you look at the graph, you'll notice that the line does go through the y-axis at 2 and has a negative slope. To check to be sure that m=-3/4, you'll need to remember that slope=rise/run. So you'll need to start at y=2 and go down 3 over 4 which should take you to another point on the line - which it does.
