y = 3x + 2

That means "as x increases 1, y increases 3".

The y-intercept is 2 or the point (0,2).

Graphing:
Plot a point at (0,2)
From that point move your pencil 1 to the right, then three up, and
put another point. Draw a line thru the wo points.
