Question 140998: Using the coordinates of 20,18 and 35,6
Give a brief explnation describing the graph in terms of x-axis and y-axis
Find the slope of line.

(20,18) and (35,6)
slope=(y2-y1)(/(x2-x1)
slope=(6-18)/(35-20)
slope=-12/15
slope=-4/5 answer for the slope of this line.
Y=mX+b
18=-4/5*20+b
18=-80/5+b
18=-16+b
b=18+16
b=34 is the y intercept. (0,34)
y=-3x/4+34
seting y=0 we solve for the x intercept:
0=-3x/4+34
-3x/4=-34
-3x=-34*4
-3x=-136
x=-136/-3
x=136/4=45.333 answer for the x intercept (45.333,0)
(graph 600x600 pixels, x from -6 to 50, y from -10 to 40, -3x/4 +34).
