You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3X-7Y=14
First put the formula into slope intercept form to be able to graph a line for the equation. Slope intercept formula y=mx%2Bb with m being the slope and b being the y intercept (0,b)

First add 7y to each side 3x-7y%2B7y=14%2B7y
Result 3x=7y%2B14
Now subtract 14 from each side
3x-14=7y%2B14-14
Result
3x-14=7y
Now divide each side by 7 to isolate the y variable.
%283x%29%2F7-%2814%2F7%29=%287%2F7%29y
Result
%283%2F7%29x-7=y
Rewritten it would be y=%283%2F7%29x-7
Now we know that the slope is 3%2F7 and the y intercept is (0,-7)
We need to graph the y intercept and then follow the slope to determine a new point to connect to graph the line. Any set of ordered pairs (x and y) coordinates that fall on that line will satisfy the equation. I am not sure what you are asking about negative and positive solutions. Any solution on the line that you graph will satisfy, negative and positive.
