You can put this solution on YOUR website!

3+and a third multiplied by 5%2F9
first write 3 and a third as a fraction: 3%261%2F3=10%2F3
now multiply 10%2F3 by 5%2F9: %2810%2F3%29%285%2F9%29=50%2F27

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Since you started with a mixed number 3%261%2F3, multiplied by a common
fraction 5%2F9, your answer should not be left as an improper fraction.

3%261%2F3%22%22%2A%22%225%2F9%22%22=%22%22

Change the mixed number to an improper fraction.

 or

%283%2A3%2B1%29%2F3%22%22=%22%22%289%2B1%29%2F3%22%22=%22%2210%2F3

That is an improper fraction because the numerator 10 is not less than the
denominator 3.

Then you have:

10%2F3%22%22%2A%22%225%2F9%22%22=%22%2250%2F27, which is also an improper fraction.

Now change that improper fraction to a mixed number by division:

    1
27)50
   27
   23

Then the answer is of the form

quotientremainder%2Fdivisor or

1%2623%2F27
