3x-6y+9=0
-6y=-3x-9
y=-3x/-6-9/-6
y=x/2+3/2 this line has a slope=1/2. (red line)
Therefore a perpendicular line has a slope of -2.
If it passes through (-2,-1) then we have the equation:
-1=-2*-2+b
-1=4+b
b=-1-4
b=-5 for the y intercept of this line:
Thus we have the line equation:
y=-2x-5 (green line)
