Sorry to say your description is fairly vague...I guess if this is not you intended it's better for you to restate your question and submit as a new question.
Lines with the same slope are parallel. That's a simple property directly derived from the defination of slope(of lines): delta(y)/delta(x), while delta refers to the increase/decrease of x and correspondingly, y.
Lines with different slopes are not parallel, like 2 lines with slope 3 and -3 are not parallel.
