Question 1122312: We were given a chart that states the population in states every 2 years. The state I chose was Navada the chart says this:
Year 2000. 2002. 2004. 2008
Population 2,000,000. 2,170,000. 2,330,000. 2,660,000
(The smaller numbers are the years and the bigger numbers are the population, population increases with each year stated)
The question asks: Let x represent the number of years since 2000. Let f(x) represent the population of the state you picked in year x. Find the y-intercept for the graph of y = f (x).
I can’t figure out where to even start... any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

The -intercept of a function is the value of the function when . So what is the value of your function zero years after the year 2000?
