If "linear" equation as you say, then %281%2F2%29x+%2B+2%2F3=+%281%2F3%29%28x%2B4%29.

%282%2A3%29%28%281%2F2%29x%2B2%2F3%29=%282%2A3%29%281%2F3%29%28x%2B4%29

3x%2B2%2A2=2%28x%2B4%29

3x%2B4=2x%2B8 and you can finish this.
