With a straight line, the slope is designated
as +m+, also you are given the point ( 0,5 )
as the y-intercept

Notice that when you plug in the point ( 0,5 )
+5+=+m%2A0+%2B+b+
+b+=+5+
That's why +b+ is called the y-intercept
