First, we need to put
x=y%2F9%2B7+
into standard form: +Ax+%2B+By++=+C+ where A,B,and C are constants (some will say A,B,and C must be "integers" but that is not true. However, if they do happen to be integers then you should try to reduce integer coefficients to the point that A,B, and C have no common factors. Some will also define such that A>0 but my Calculus book does not impose that restriction. ).

An "alternate" standard form for the equation of a line is +Ax%2BBy%2BC+=+0+ and this is form I prefer.


Re-arranging your starting equation:
