You can put this solution on YOUR website!
This is just reading the formula.

Remember what the point-slope form equation comes from.
Variable point (x,y)
Given point (h,k)
Slope is m=%28y-k%29%2F%28x-h%29
The point-slope form is just a rearrangement of this.

Given the point-slope equation y plus 8 equals negative 6 left parenthesis x minus 7 right parenthesis commay+8=−6(x−7), state the slope and the indicated point of the graph
            y + 8 = - 6(x - 7)
Compare to: y+-+y%5B1%5D+=+m%28x+-+x%5B1%5D%29
It's obvious that: -+y%5B1%5D+=+%2B+8, and so: y%5B1%5D+=+-+8
Also, m = - 6
And, -+x%5B1%5D+=+-+7, and so, x%5B1%5D+=+7
highlight_green%28matrix%281%2C5%2C+m%2C+or%2C+slope%2C+%22=%22%2C+-+6%29%29

That's it....nothing COMPLEX!!
